Highgate Veterinary Clinic now open in Willingham fulfils Bridget’s lifelong vision

Highgate Veterinary Clinic has opened in Willingham as an independent veterinary clinic.

The opening of the clinic has been a lifelong vision for local vet and entrepreneur Dr Bridget Adcock, whose dream has come true following £275,000 funding support from NatWest.

After almost 15 years working for corporate veterinary chains, Dr Adcock took the leap of faith to start her own service and now her team of experienced vets offers all small animal services including preventative care and wellness assessments, and can provide in-depth medical and surgical management of more complex cases on site.

The facility is kitted out with the latest equipment including a brand new imaging suite, laboratory for testing and operating theatre.

The clinic’s ethos is “personalised care to the individual patient and expertise dealing with pets suffering with anxieties”.

Dr Adcock said: “Since becoming a vet, I’ve always dreamed of having my own clinic and I can’t quite believe that this has now become a reality.

“None of this would have been possible without the help from NatWest, not only from a financial point of view, but also the invaluable support they’ve provided to help me set up the business – without this, I don’t think I would have known where to begin!

“As well as financial aid, NatWest has provided 24/7 support, employee resources, new systems to support with payroll and contracts, and invaluable advice.”

The Highgate team has expertise dealing with more anxious patients with behavioural issues and “will strive to promote a welcoming and fear-free environment in which animals can be seen”.
