Our guide to Northstowe Running Festival 2022 - including route maps and entry details
There is not long to go until the second Northstowe Running Festival takes place - and online entries are about to close.
The event, supported again by the Cambridge Independent, will take place over the weekend of September 3-4 – the 10k is on the Saturday and the Northstowe Half, the Family Mile and 5k are on the Sunday.
You can enter online until Wednesday, August 31 at northstowerunfest.co.uk but entries on the day will be available for the 10k, 5k and Family Mile.
There will also be live music, with Matt Thompson playing at 6pm on the Saturday and Park Lane Band at 3pm on the Sunday.
A street food market and fully licensed bar will be on offer and there will be activities for children over the two days.

Courses
Northstowe Half Marathon
A very flat multi-terrain course will take you from the new developments of Northstowe, via peaceful paths around the Bug Hunter Waters lake and out past some of neighbouring Longstanton’s historic landmarks into the surrounding countryside with its open skies and expansive natural vistas before coming back to the finish line at Western Park and the runners’ village packed with free entertainment and a delicious street food market.
Northstowe 10K
This very flat multi-terrain course will also take you from the new developments of Northstowe, down peaceful paths and out past some of neighbouring Longstanton’s historic landmarks into the surrounding countryside before coming back to the finish line at Western Park and the runners’ villag.
Northstowe 5K
A route along the greenways of Northstowe and around scenic Bug Hunter Waters lake before coming back to the finish line at Western Park and the runners’ village.
Northstowe Family Mile
The run will start at the event venue in Western Park and will follow the paths around it in a single lap to finish at the playing field.
Fundraising
The run will support Care Network Cambridgeshire, Power2Inspire and Richmond Fellowship.
Profits from the family mile will be split between Northstowe’s four schools.
