Pedestrian, 40, in critical condition after crash on Cambridge’s Huntingdon Road
A pedestrian in his 40s remains in a critical condition in hospital after a collision on Huntingdon Road in Cambridge.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the crash, which involved a black Volkswagen Up and two pedestrians.
It took place close to the junction with Storey’s Way at about 9am on Thursday (January 4).
Emergency services attended the scene and the road was closed for a number of hours.
One of the pedestrians, a man in his 40s, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, with serious injuries and remains there in a critical condition.
The second pedestrian, a woman in her 50s, suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the same hospital.
The driver, a 62-year-old woman from Cambridge, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless or inconsiderate driving. She has been released on bail until April 4.
