Pedestrian dies after collision on A10 near Milton




A pedestrian in his 20s has died after being struck by a vehicle on the A10 near Milton last night (Wednesday, February 8).

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after the collision which happened at about 11.15pm.

A DAF truck travelling south on the A10, close to the A14 Milton junction, when it was involved in a collision with a pedestrian.

Emergency services were called but sadly the pedestrian, a man in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured and remained at the scene.

The road remains was closed in both directions overnight and this morning.

Sergeant Ian Leeson, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said: “A man has lost his life and I am appealing for the public's help in trying to piece together what has happened.

“As well as witnesses and dashcam footage of the collision, I would also like to hear from anyone who drove along the A10 in the hour leading up to the collision and may have seen the pedestrian.”
