Petrol station at Morrisons in Cambourne closed after water gets in fuel tank
Morrisons in Cambourne was forced to close its petrol station today (Wednesday) after water got into a petrol tank.
The supermarket said it reacted immediately and shut off the pumps. It has been reported that vehicles had broken down after filling up at the petrol station in Broad Street.
It says anyone affected by the problem should visit the customer service desk with their receipt.
A Morrisons spokesperson told the Cambridge Independent: “We are really sorry for the disruption caused to customers today due to water getting into one of our tanks.
“We reacted immediately and shut off the pumps - however any customers who were unfortunately impacted should take any receipts to the customer service desk at the store and they will help them.”
