Police are appealing for witnesses after two women were threatened on the Cambridge guided busway.

Reports say the man tried to grab the two women and threatened to harm them.

The women were walking along the guided busway between Kings Hedges and Impington last night (June 22) at about 10.35pm when they were approached by a man.

He appeared from some bushes and attempted to grab hold of them both before making threats to harm them. The women, who are in their 20s and 30s, broke free and ran home.

The man is described as black, aged 30-40 and approximately 5’10”. He had a short beard and was wearing dark trousers and a dark hoodie.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen this man is asked to contact police.
