Cambridgeshire Constabulary has said that there is not believed to be any danger to the wider public.

A police spokesperson said: “Police officers supported by the fire service and other partners have carried out a warrant at a property just off Mill Road, Cambridge.

“They were acting on intelligence that there may be chemicals in the flat and the warrant was required to ensure the safety of anyone living in or near the property.

“At this stage, there is not believed to be any danger to the wider public.

“There is likely to be a police and multi-agency presence on the ground for some time while searches are carried out.”
