Prolific Cambridge shoplifter banned for two years from Co-Op, Aldi, H&M, Next and Zara stores in Cambridgeshire
A prolific thief from Cambridge has been banned from a host of stores following his persistent shoplifting.
Sam Timbers, 32, of Fen Road, was handed a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at Cambridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday (11 March) that bans him from entering any Co-Op, Aldi, H&M, Next or Zara stores in Cambridgeshire.
The CBO followed his latest conviction last month, when he was sentenced to 40 weeks in prison after pleading guilty to five counts of theft and activating a suspended sentence.
Sgt Dan Scott, from the spree offender team, said: “Criminal Behaviour Orders are another tool we can use to help better protect the community from repeat offenders.
“I hope this order provides reassurance to Cambridgeshire’s retailers and employees and it will deter the behaviour of Timbers in the future.”
