Pumpkin Jim’s pick-you-own pumpkins returns to Cambridgeshire this half term
Get down to Pumpkin Jim’s patch in Ickleton for fun-filled activities.
Due to popular demand, Pumpkin Jim’s pick-your-own pumpkin patch is back for the second year running and is set to be bigger and better than ever before.
Taking place from October 20-28, Pumpkin Jim’s will be providing the best half-term day out on offer this year. As well as picking pumpkins, local farmer Pumpkin Jim has laid on soft play, children’s tractor racing and a sandpit.
Also, new for 2018, is the Pumpkin Gym which is an over 5’s play area with trampolines, badminton, football and slackline.
For the grown-ups, Pumpkin Jim has provided a café with hot drinks, snacks and children’s lunchboxes. There will also be local potatoes and onions for sale and an opportunity to order your Christmas turkey.
Pumpkin Jim said: “Last year’s pick-your-own pumpkin patch was a roaring success with around 200 visitors every day. I have planted a few different varieties of pumpkins this year for those who really want to get jazzy with their Halloween decorations and we have added the new gym which ought to keep the kids busy for hours.
“We’ve made this year’s event bigger and better than last year and hope to see lots of you down there over half term.”
Pumpkin Jim’s patch is based on Grange Road, Ickleton and will be open from 10am to 3pm. Ickleton is five miles from Saffron Walden and 11 miles from Cambridge. Follow Pumpkin Jim’s on Facebook and Instagram for regular updates.
Costs are £4 per wristband which allows unlimited access to the children’s play area for the whole day.
There is no charge to enter the patch and pick pumpkins, pumpkins will be charged according to weight.
