Road blocked after car flips following collision in Great Shelford
A road is blocked after a car is believed to have crashed into two stationary vehicles and flipped over, police have said.
At least six police vehicles remain at the scene of the collision in Woollards Lane, Great Shelford, this afternoon (Thursday, 27 February).
Fire and ambulance crews are also at the scene.
A police spokesperson said: “We were called at 1.13pm this afternoon (Thursday) with reports of a collision in Woollards Lane, Great Shelford, involving three vehicles.
“It is believed a car hit two stationary vehicles and flipped. All emergency services are at the scene, including the air ambulance.”
An East of England Ambulance service spokesperson added: “We were called at 1.09pm with reports of a collision in Woollards Lane, Great Shelford.
“We sent the East Anglian Air Ambulance, the Hazardous Area Response Team, two ambulances, a rapid response vehicle and an ambulance officer vehicle.”
Cambridgeshire Fire and Rescue Service said crews from Sawston and Gamlingay responded to the incident.
“Firefighters have been working alongside ambulance colleagues to release three casualties. Firefighters are now making the area safe,” a spokesperson said.
