A yellow weather warning is in place, which states that rain and snow will move eastwards late on Monday evening and during the early hours of Tuesday.

Rain may turn to sleet and snow for a time over parts of East Anglia, but this will quickly clear south-eastwards by late morning and any snow at lower levels will soon thaw.

Some roads and railways are likely to be affected, with delays possible on road, bus and train services.
