Spark fresh ideas at Cambridge BID’s City Meets Corporate event




City Meets Corporate returns for 2024! Love working in Cambridge? Gain new ideas to connect to your city through meeting a range of suppliers offering hospitality, wellness, team building or volunteering experiences.

This networking event, at 3.30-7pm on Thursday, 19 September at the Graduate Hotel, is free to attend for workers in the corporate and office sector. Supporting local providers helps our local economy thrive, and this is your opportunity to see what’s out there.

Jenny Granshaw, project manager at Cambridge BID, explains: “We recognise the growing number of corporate businesses who want to build engaged and resilient teams, support local suppliers and charities, and feel connected to their city. The Graduate Hotel

Our event hosts, Graduate Cambridge, have an enviable setting on the River Cam in the heart of historic Cambridge. The Graduate Cambridge team will be on hand to offer tours of the hotel, and to showcase the extent of their hospitality – offering rooms suitable for corporate staff and clients, dining experiences, event space, and curated events in their riverside gardens.

Indie Cambridge

Indie Cambridge waves the flag for small businesses – recognising their important place in our daily lives and communities. Free copies of The Indie publication will be available to pick up, and two Indie Cambridge members have generously created bespoke workshops for our event:

- Sleepy Bee Studio delivers immersive calligraphy and wax seal workshops, the perfect therapeutic team-building exercise. Give yourself time to experiment with different materials, practise lettering and design styles, and create a beautiful memento to take away.

- Small & Green’s corporate workshops will help to bring a slice of nature into your workplace. Choose from a terrarium making class or a repotting and plant care workshop. It’s a great opportunity to build connections within your teams as colleagues work side by side immersing themselves in the world of plants!
