89 stunning new apartments coming to Station Square, Cambridge
A mixed-use development at the heart of the city is being created by Weston Homes.
Weston Homes, a leading home counties developer, is launching the new development in Cambridge: 3 and 4 Station Square, which is also a popular site for businesses.
It will provide 89 stunning residential apartments, with retail and office space on the ground and first floors.
Weston Homes’ ethos is to deliver real homes to real people, with the high-quality designs for 3 and 4 Station Square set to offer affordable opportunities for all.
Prices start from £365,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £460,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
The new development will replace Murdoch House, an outdated building on site, with demolition work due to begin shortly - part of the area’s ongoing transformation into a new cultural hub for the city.
3 and 4 Station Square is a key piece of the CB1 masterplan, an urban regeneration project set to transform the area around the city’s station.
Weston Homes is working closely in partnership with CB1 Estate developer Brookgate to deliver stylish homes for an urban lifestyle.
The CB1 project includes extensive office space as a new hub for international companies, as well as a diverse choice of street food, restaurants and independent bars, including Station Tavern, Wasabi Bento and The Tamburlaine Hotel.
It will also provide 6,000 bicycle parking spaces for enjoying the city and pedestrianised zones. CB1 is a new gateway to the city, with Weston Homes’ striking buildings playing a key role in the area’s transformation.
Other local amenities on the site include M&S Simply Food, Rutland Cycling, Café Nero and La Maison du Steak.
Weston Homes is set to bring its quality interiors and thoughtful attention to detail to every aspect of the apartments, offering contemporary living to complement the buildings’ striking façades.
The one and two-bedroom apartments will offer spacious open-plan living areas, sleek finishes and elegant décor throughout. Many apartments are also set to offer balconies or terraces.
The apartments will offer a choice of designer units by Oakwood Kitchens, Fascino stainless steel fixtures, with Forest Oak doors, a choice of smart White Oak or Ebony Oak strip flooring and plush carpets for the bedrooms; the bathrooms will feature RAK Ceramics, vanity units with integrated storage and a smart mirror with LED lighting.
Residents will benefit from the development’s central location, with easy access to the station for direct trains to London and the North, reaching London King’s Cross or Peterbroough in just 49 minutes.
It will provide 71 parking spaces in the basement, a rare amenity for such a central location.
Bob Weston, chairman and chief executive of Weston Homes, said: “Cambridge is one of the UK’s fastest growing and most successful cities, forecast to grow rapidly over the next decade.
"This new regeneration scheme will help to provide much-needed local housing and enhance the local public realm around the station which is an important high-profile gateway into Cambridge.
“We are delighted to launch our UK sales and anticipate high demand for this exciting project.”
Weston Homes has an established presence in Cambridge and the home counties, and has delivered affordable homes for over 30 years, having completed four developments in Cambridge itself.
3 and 4 Station Square is due to launch today (Thursday, February 28), with both one and two-bedroom apartments to be released.
Prices start from £365,000 for a one-bedroom apartment and £460,000 for a two-bedroom apartment.
