The £32.5m greenway routes for cycling and walking between Cambridge and villages approved by GCP
These are the latest five new greenway routes approved by the Greater Cambridge Partnership.
Designed to aid cycling, walking and horse-riding, they connect villages in South Cambridgeshire with Cambridge.
The GCP’s executive board approved £1.25million of funding earlier this month for the detailed design for the routes and an outline budget of £31m to deliver them.
Spending on the five greenway routes will be as follows:
- Barton - £10m
- Bottisham - £5m
- Horningsea £2.5m
- Sawston £9m
- Swaffhams - £4.5m
The GCP has already agreed six other greenways, with the Haslingfield route due before the board for a decision in December.
