The Hill Group is collaborating with Cambridge University for the Knights Park market at the Hyatt Centric/Turing Locke Hotel at noon-4pm on Saturday (November 25).

Among the 30+ businesses selling gifts and treats will be Planet Friendly Living, Isle Soap Co, The Candle Company Cambridge, Jake’s Gin, Prestige Doughnuts, The Bicycle Collective Sherlock Pet and Co and Cambridge Dog Company. The market is free with tickets bookable online in advance.

Both Knights Park and Eddington have sponsored giraffe sculptures in the Cambridge Standing Tall 2024 trail in support of the charity Break. On Saturday, a smaller 1.5m giraffe known as Nugget will be hidden in the hotel grounds. For everyone who uploads a selfie with Nugget to Instagram, tagging @knightsparkeddington, Hill will donate £1 to Break. Participants will be entered into a raffle for a festive hamper.

In Eddington Square, a festive market runs on on Friday to Sunday (November 24-26) with Alpine-style pop-up huts selling jewellery, pottery, artisan delicacies and gifts. Those inspired by the traders’ creations can hone their crafting skills at workshops at Storey’s Field Centre, bookable in advance with a fee.

There will be a bus serving mulled wine and other drinks, and food including Yorkshire pudding wraps, German sausages and wood-fired pizzas.

Rebecca Littler, group sales and marketing director at The Hill Group, said: “Knights Park has always been about more than just energy-efficient homes. We are part of a distinctive community and lifestyle here in Eddington, with shops, cafes, sports facilities, a school and nursery, a market square, a new restaurant The Astronomer, a community centre, its own cycle network and more than 50 hectares of open space available for residents to enjoy.

“Having witnessed the immense joy that last year’s festive market brought to the local community, we are delighted to be part of an even bigger and better festive market this November.”

The Eddington festive market is open on Friday at 4-9pm, Saturday at 10am-9pm and Sunday at 10am-6pm. Entertainment and family-friendly fun will take place throughout the weekend.
