Tribute paid to ‘caring’ teenager with ‘adventurous spirit’ who died in Cambridge motorcycle crash




A family has paid tribute to a “darling, beloved son and younger brother” who died in a crash in Cambridge.

Ash O’Kelly, 19, of Parr Close, Impington died after the black Honda CBR motorcycle he was riding struck the central reservation in Milton Road, approaching the A14, at about 11.30pm on Sunday (6 April).

In a statement, his family said: “Ailish, Ann, Crystal, Oakley, family and friends are absolutely devastated at the sudden, tragic loss of our darling, beloved son and younger brother, Ash.

“We are utterly heartbroken, missing Ash’s gorgeous smiley face and caring, adventurous spirit. Ash will always be remembered for his love of nature, animals and fishing.”

No other vehicles are believed to have been involved in the crash.

Anyone who witnessed the crash, saw the vehicle in the build up to it, or who has relevant dashcam footage should contact police via Cambridgeshire Constabulary’s website, quoting reference CC-06042025-0570. Alternatively, call 101 and ask to speak to a member of the road policing unit.
