Histon Cricket Club announce signing of Sunshine Coast Scorchers all-rounder Dan Cummins

Histon have confirmed that Dan Cummins will be their overseas player for the 2024 season.

The all-rounder is currently playing his club cricket in his native Australia for Sunshine Coast Scorchers in the Queensland Premier Cricket Competition.

Cummins, who has previously played in England for Waresley and Saffron Walden, recently caught the eye with the bat as he scored 136 runs off just 124 deliveries in a second grade fixture.

Alongside his playing commitments throughout the summer, Cummins will also take up a coaching role within Histon’s junior section.

Meanwhile, Histon have also confirmed the signing of former Leamington and Foxton Granta bowler Cameron Mitchell.

The youngster has arrived at Histon after breaking into the Cambridge University first team last season.
