Cambridge United youth development programmes get in the fast lane with Barons Cambridge BMW
Cambridge United have extended their partnership with Barons Cambridge BMW.
It means that Barons will become headline sponsor of the U’s regional development centres, girls’ development centres and goalkeeper centres.
The youth development programmes provided specialist training to more than 1,000 youngsters aged between six and 16 at 20 different venues around Cambridgeshire and the surrounding counties.
Nick Fairbairn, United’s head of commercial, said: “We are absolutely delighted to extend our partnership with Barons Cambridge BMW. Like us at Cambridge United, they are passionate about driving youth development and have demonstrated this with their fantastic support over a number of years.
“Their continued commitment is very much appreciated by all at the club and we’re really looking forward to working with Kevin and his team during the 2020/21 season and beyond.”
Kevin Appelton, head of business at Barons Cambridge BMW, said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our long standing relationship with Cambridge United.
“As a business, working and supporting our local community is really important to us, I know those values are aligned with the football club, which is why we are so keen to continue our association. We feel very proud to have the opportunity to show our support and work with a fantastic club in these difficult times, and especially keen to be involved with its youth development programme.”
