City of Cambridge Swimming Club achieved their best result since joining the M11 Junior League by taking second spot.

City of Cambridge travelled to Barnet for the final of Division One, tied at the top of the league with Basildon and Camden Swiss Cottage.

They made a good start by winning the first event, the girls’ under-12 4x50m freestyle relay, and they kept the form going to be second at the halfway stage.

Every race was going down to the wire, but at the end of the gala, Camden took the stage to leave City of Cambridge in second place overall with 274 points, compared to Camden’s 294.

City of Cambridge assistant coach Tom Sarah said: “I’m extremely happy with the team’s performance and consistency throughout all three rounds. They have stepped up to the challenge and raced fast and been a great team to work with.”
