Dan Richmond lends experience to Cambridge Rugby Club coaching set-up
Former Northampton Saints hooker to assist at Volac Park
Dan Richmond has joined Cambridge Rugby Club’s coaching team.
The 38-year-old former Northampton Saints hooker is a renowned scrum coach and will work with the squad twice a month in a consultancy and coaching role.
Richmond, who also played for Bath and Bedford, is currently part of the Sale Sharks backroom team, having previously worked with Worcester Warriors and Wasps.
He was also part of the coaching team with Argentina at the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
Cambridge director of rugby Ross Stewart said: “We’re delighted to be able to bring someone with Richmond’s experience and expertise onto the coaching team.
“Not only will he be working with our forwards, but we’ve also asked him to review the coaching team to see where we can make improvements ourselves.
“We’re really pleased to have Richmond involved as his experience both playing and coaching in professional rugby is vast, and we believe his professionalism and knowledge will be extremely valuable assets to both the players and coaches.”
