Teddy Hall rounds off 2023 with Faldo Series victory in United Arab Emirates and another win in Portugal
Teddy Hall has gone into the new year full of confidence after a enjoying a positive end to 2023.
In late November the former Bottisham Village College pupil jetted out for the Faldo Series Junior Tour Europe Grand Final at Al Ain Equestrian Shooting and Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates, where he triumphed in the Under-18 category.
Hall, who is based in Newmarket and is a member of The Links Golf Club on Cambridge Road, shot rounds of 68, 72 and 70 across the three-day event and finished in third place overall by sinking a 30-foot putt on the second play-off hole.
And the youngster followed that success up with another victory during the final week of December at the Quinta do Lago in Portugal.
Hall, who came out on top in the Under-21 event, was in record-breaking form as his round of 65 was a new best at the Laranjal Golf Course, beating the previous top round set by four-time Major winner Ernie Els.
Hall is now preparing to head off for winter training on the courses in Spain, where he is scheduled to play tournaments later this year alongside further planned events in Portugal and Vietnam – the latter being the host of the grande finale of the Nick Faldo Tournament.
