Daniel Goodfellow and Ben Cutmore have been named in the Team England diving squad to take part in the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham this summer.

The former Cambridge Dive Team duo are part of an 18-strong squad that will compete in the newly-built Sandwell Aquatics Centre from August 4 to 8.

Goodfellow already has a Commonwealth Games gold medal in his collection, having tasted victory alongside Tom Daley in the 10m synchro at the 2018 Gold Coast games. The duo also won a bronze medal in the same discipline at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Cutmore, who is a former Bassingbourn Village College student, will be making his debut at a major competition.

Team England’s Chef de Mission, Mark England OBE, said: “I’m proud to welcome the 18 divers to Team England for the Commonwealth Games.

“The team blends previous medal winners with fresh and exciting talent and I know the Birmingham crowd will be right behind our athletes as they aim to ‘Bring It Home’ this summer.”
