Histon Football Club celebrate Eastern Junior Alliance success of two youth sides




Histon’s youth development sides continue to go from strength to strength as the club’s Under-13 and Under-14 teams recently capped off their league seasons in style by collecting their respective Eastern Junior Alliance League titles.

Paul Orange’s Under-13 team have also added EJA League Cup honours in recent weeks with their 4-3 victory over Billericay Town.

Following their league triumphs, both teams have gone on to win their Champions Cup semi-finals this week. The Under-13s overcame Colney Heath on penalties after a 2-2 draw, while the Under-14s edged out Cheshunt 2-1.

The finals will both take place on Sunday (May 21) at Haverhill Rovers’ New Croft ground. The Under-13s face Billericay Town at 10:30am, which is followed by Lee Keen’s Under-14s locking horns with Buckhurst Hill.

Meanwhile, open training sessions are planned to take place in the coming weeks for the 2023/24 season.

Under-15 sessions are due to take place on June 11 and 18 at Comberton Village College (1-3pm). Contact lee.keen@histonfc.co.uk with name, position and current club to register.

Meanwhile, an Under-16 session has been scheduled for Thursday, May 25, also at Comberton Village College (7-8pm). Contact michael.brown@histonfc.co.uk with name, position and current club to register.4

And an Under-14 session shall be hosted on Wednesday, May 24 from at Comberton Village College (6.7.30pm). Contact paul.orange@histonfc.co.uk with name, position and current club to register.
