Rob Huff racks up second win of the British Touring Car Championship season after battle with Tom Ingram at Knockhill in Scotland

Rob Huff secured his second win of the 2024 Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship season at Knockhill on Sunday.

The Cambridge racer’s triumph – which came in the third race of the meeting – was a lights-to-flag victory on Scottish soil, and in turn it helped elevate him up to seventh in the standings.

It was far from a straightforward win though with the former St Faith’s and The Leys School pupil having to hold off plenty of pressure Tom Ingram to get over the line in first place.

Huff said: “I’m over the moon with that result and really proud of my performance.

“I really had to work for that win but I had an absolute blast – it was a proper touring car race and fair play to Tom, he was giving it a good go.

“After about three laps I had sussed out where he was strong as opposed to where I was strong and from then on it was just about not making any mistakes.

“Everything came together in that last race and it is a great reward for everyone at Speedworks Motorsport.

“We’ve taken a real step forward since the summer break and this weekend has seen us just edging the car in right direction and making the necessary tweaks.

“We’ve had great speed all day and to cap it off with a win is fantastic.”

The 44-year-old and the rest of the grid will return to action at Donington Park over the weekend of 24-25 August.

Huff will head into that meeting with a big gap to bridge to sixth-placed Josh Cook, who is 60 points in the ascendancy.
