Isaac Rowlands and Oliver Rust beat the path to bronze at AoC Sport National Championship

Double medal delight for CRC duo

Isaac Rowlands and Oliver Rust earned two bronze medals each at the AoC Sport National Championship.

The Cambridge Regional College duo were part of the Eastern region team that finished third overall.

Rowlands and Rust took part in the golf tournament, which featured team and individual events.

The pair, who are both 18, were third overall in the team event, while in the individual category, Rowlands, who plays off four, was eighth, and Rust, who plays off one, finished 12th.

“I loved the tournament,” said Rowlands. “I went into it hoping for a top 10. After finishing the first round in 18th place and to climb 10 places into eighth the next day was amazing.

“I’ve shown to myself that I have the talent and potential in this game. I want to use this experience to aid in furthering my future in the sport.”
