Oliver Jarvis confident United Autosports team will be more than competitive at the 24 Hours of Le Mans
Oliver Jarvis will line up once again at the 24 Hours of Le Mans next month and is confident his United Autosports team will be more than competitive in the LMP2 class.
It will be the Burwell-based 40-year-old’s 13th outing at the legendary French sportscar race, and he will be looking to make it a memorable first appearance in the twice-round-the-clock encounter for reigning IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge champion Bijoy Garg.
Along with the American, he will also be sharing the drive in the Oreca 07 on June 15-16 with promising 19-year-old Californian Nolan Siegel.
Jarvis, who won the LMP2 category back in 2017 when finishing second overall, will be looking to better last year’s eighth-placed finish in his class, having ended sixth the year before.
“Every opportunity to race at this incredible event is a privilege,” he said.
“This year I head there with two new team-mates in Bijoy and Nolan. Having seen Bijoy’s speed so far this season, I have no doubt that he will be straight on the pace.
“Nolan has also had an impressive start to the season, racing in Indy NXT so I am confident that, together with United Autosports, we have a team capable of fighting for the win.”
