Liam Gooch heads to Cambridge City
And Ryan Towner agrees new deal at Lilywhites
Cambridge City have snapped up goalkeeper Liam Gooch from Biggleswade Town.
The 20-year-old shot-stopper, who was first choice for the Evo-Stik League South, Premier Division side last season, came through the youth ranks at Luton Town. He has also had spells at Kettering and Hitchin.
And Ryan Towner, who was an ever present for City last term, will be back next season after the club agreed terms with the midfielder.
“It’s great news that Ryan will be with us for the new season,” said City manager Robbie Nightingale.
“He is an inspirational, consistent performer and is quite versatile having played in several other positions aside from his customary midfield role.
“I am sure everyone will be delighted that he is with us again for the new campaign.”
