Gog Magog Golf Club’s Martin Booth and Ely City Golf Club’s Tom Gooch win Hamish S Fleming Fourball Championship at Saffron Walden Golf Club

Martin Booth and Tom Gooch were the triumphant pairing at the recent Hamish S Fleming Fourball Championship.

The annual event, which was held at Saffron Walden Golf Club, once again attracted a full field of golfers.

And it was the combination of Gog Magog Golf Club’s Booth and Gooch of Ely City Golf Club that came out on top.

The duo combined to take a first-round lead with a return of 44 Stableford points.

And they followed that up in the second round with 41 points to finish on 85 overall, two ahead of Chris Ellis and Philip Goode in second place.

Next year’s tournament will be hosted by The Links Golf Club in Newmarket, with a date to be confirmed.
