Cambridge United midfielder Jordan Cousins to miss rest of League One season with hamstring injury
Cambridge United midfielder Jordan Cousins has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a hamstring injury.
The 31-year-old was absent from yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Barnsley – and during his post-match press duties boss Neil Harris confirmed that he had picked up the campaign-ending problem during a training session in the build up to the trip to Oakwell.
Harris said: “Jordan was missing and he’s going to miss the rest of the season with a hamstring (injury). It’s another player that we’ve lost numbers wise.
“It’s from training and it’s just at this stage of the season (which means he’ll miss the rest of the season).
“For me it’s quite new but obviously for people within the football club it hurts because it’s just another in a long line of injuries that’s gone on for 10 months.
“We need to adjust it moving forward and we will.”
Cousins, who is due to be out of contract at the Cledara Abbey Stadium in the summer, has made 32 appearances across all competitions this term.
