Cambridge United announce departure of Jason Euell as assistant head coach
Cambridge United have confirmed the departure of Jason Euell as assistant head coach with immediate effect.
The former Wimbledon and Charlton Athletic forward arrived at the Cledara Abbey Stadium last summer as part of Garry Monk’s coaching staff.
However, following the departure of Monk last month and the subsequent return of Neil Harris as head coach, the decision has now been taken to part company with Euell.
And that is set to lead to Harris appointing his own assistant in time for the start of pre-season.
Director of football Mark Bonner said: “As everybody knows, we are reviewing every part of the football operation at the moment and, as part of that change process, Neil will soon be appointing his own assistant head coach, so that they can be in place before the start of pre-season.
“We are very grateful to Jason for all his hard work this season. He is a talented coach with deep experience of the game at the highest level, and I am sure he will go on to enjoy further success within football over the years to come.”
