Cambridge United youngster Jahkyah Ebanks-Blake joins Cambridge City on loan ahead of Isthmian League North Division game against Redbridge
Cambridge United youngster Jahkyah Ebanks-Blake has moved to Cambridge City on loan.
The forward, who joined the U’s academy at under-9 level, signed a full scholarship at the Cledara Abbey Stadium last summer.
He has featured for United’s Under-18 side this season, but now he will make the step into men’s football with the Lilywhites.
Ebanks-Blake has completed the switch in time to be part of the City squad that takes on Redbridge at the FWD-IP Community Stadium tomorrow afternoon – a game which United fans can gain half price entry to if they produce their season ticket on the gate as part of Non League Day.
The Isthmian League North Division fixture could also mark a home City debut for Cody Cosgrove.
The midfielder, who was once on the books of Premier League outfit Brentford, recently linked up with Jamie Cureton’s squad on loan from Sittingbourne.
He made his first appearance for the club last weekend as a substitute in the 3-2 defeat away at Grays Athletic.
