Cambridgeshire Under-12s round off season with victory over Norfolk at Burwell & Exning Cricket Club

Cambridgeshire Under-12 Boys rounded off their 2023 campaign with a victory over their Norfolk counterparts.

The visitors elected to bat first in the 40-over contest, which was played at Burwell & Exning Cricket Club.

Undeterred, Cambridgeshire struck in the first over with a second-ball run out and then, led by Nathan Critchley taking three wickets, the rest of the team kept taking wickets regularly which successfully restricted Norfolk’s total to 160 all out.

In reply, Cambridgeshire started strongly thanks to an opening partnership of 50 from Arthur Ketteley and Neel Kumar.

A few quick wickets then fell, but that was followed by the combination of Kumar (67 not out) and Zach Winslow (32 not out), who got Cambridgeshire over the winning line in the 30th over.
