Histon Under-18s celebrate being crowned Thurlow Nunn Youth league champions with win over Royston Town

There was plenty of celebrations for Histon Under-18s after they were crowned champions for the second time in three seasons.

The young Stutes ran out 2-1 winners at Royston Town last week – a result that ensured that they will finish top of the Thurlow Nunn Youth League South West Division with one fixture to spare.

Having fallen behind to their hosts, goals from substitute Dawid Siek and Elliot Mills sealed the comeback triumph for Alfie Oakman’s side.

With the silverware secured, Histon will now switch their focus to finishing the league campaign unbeaten when they travel to face Stansted tonight.

The match will mark a final outing for many of the successful squad who will be over the permitted age to feature next term.
