Ziana Alexis and Gillian Benoy make switch to Cambridge Rugby Club
Duo confirmed as first new signings
Ziana Alexis and Gillian Benoy have been confirmed as Cambridge Rugby Club’s first signings of the summer.
Benoy is a second and back row player who is known to new head coach Richie Williams.
The pair have worked together previously in Belgium, with Benoy being an international XV and sevens player.
“Gillian has been playing senior rugby from the age of 17 and is an excellent talent,” said Williams.
“He is comfortable across the back row and has played a lot of rugby in the second row.
“He has already gained a high number of senior international caps and he will bring a strong athletic edge to our pack.”
Alexis is a young prop who joins from Ealing Trailfinders, and arrives with a wealth of National League experience along with a number of appearances for Saracens A.
Williams has worked with Alexis at England Counties under-20s level, and has monitored his development over the past few seasons.
