Singer Olly Murs was back performing at Newmarket last Friday (July 30) and, despite an injury to his knee - caused by jumping early on in his set - the pictures suggest that the gig was a success.

The former X Factor contestant underwent leg surgery after the on-stage accident - which happened after the second song he played - but has vowed that all of his upcoming concerts will go ahead as planned.
A fragment of bone lodged itself on the back of his knee after he jumped, with the star revealing that the accident had “shut his leg down” and that he spent the rest of the gig limping.
The popular Newmarket Nights series of concerts have returned after being cancelled last year due to the pandemic. Next to appear is Jess Glynne this Friday (August 6) and Rick Astley next Friday (August 13).
