A forest of artworks at Wandlebury Country Park for the third Fantastical Forest Exhibition
Wandlebury Country Park hosted the third annual Fantastical Forest Exhibition, organised by Cambridge Past Present and Future (PPF) and Cambridge Curiosity and Imagination (CCI).
Taking place on Saturday, November 26, artworks created mainly by children from across the county were suspended across a natural cathedral made by an avenue of beech trees.
Ruth Sapsed, director of CCI, believes “over 1,000” people walked through the collection on the day (the works were only on display for one day). She added: “It’s very individual, that sense of pleasure that people take in exploring their own ideas through the work.”
Fantastical Forests launched in 2020 as a forest of imagination that brought together 18 individual artworks created with young children in Cambridge. Since then, the exhibition has continued to grow as the organisers work with more communities.
