Comedian Colin Hoult bringing sold-out Edinburgh Fringe show to Cambridge
Fresh from an award-nominated, sold-out run at Edinburgh Fringe, character comedian, actor and writer Colin Hoult is bringing his eccentric alter-ego back into venues around the country.
Colin Hoult’s Anna Mann: actress, singer, welder (gotta have a backup) and siren of the stage and screen will be taking her final show, The Death of Anna Mann, on tour around the UK following its success at Edinburgh, which culminated in a nomination for Dave’s Edinburgh Comedy Award Best Show.
While the grief for this comic creation may be fictional, it is a prominent theme throughout this final Anna Mann production. Colin’s personal experiences of grief (he sadly lost his brother), and how we learn to deal with it, have hugely influenced the story, themes, and comedy of it.
Colin Hoult is probably best known for starring in various projects alongside Ricky Gervais including Derek, After Life, and Life’s Too Short. In After Life, he portrayed the very memorable character of Ken Otley, the head of the local amateur dramatics company.
