Entrepreneur Matt Maynard bringing new shows to Cambridge Corn Exchange
Cambridge entrepreneur Matt Maynard, who in November last year was approached to lead a new series of events for the Cambridge Corn Exchange under his brand DUSK Empire, held his first event at the Corn Exchange last Saturday (5 April).
“I’m excited to say that the launch of my new house music brand, La Casa, was a huge success, with over 900 people in attendance,” said Matt.
The Corn Exchange events include a strong community element, with opportunities for local creatives – a core part of the DUSK Empire ethos, says Matt, adding: “These opportunities will involve DJs, photographers, videographers and musicians.”
Next up is Matt’s Latin brand, BumBumTamTam, with the next event scheduled for Saturday, 31 May.
He said: “We’re thrilled to be flying in Brazilian funk artist MC Menor for his first-ever UK performance, exclusively for this show.”
Between 2018 and 2020, DUSK Presents hosted 10 concerts at Cambridge Junction and Ballare Cambridge.
The DUSK Empire brand gained further recognition when it was featured in British GQ in July and August 2021, following endorsements from musicians, footballers, and TV personalities.
Tickets for the 31 May show, priced £28, are available from cornex.co.uk.
