Gallery: Grantchester Charity Runs 2019

More than 500 people braved some ‘challenging’ weather for the 10th annual Grantchester Charity Runs on Sunday (September 29).

There were two runs – a 10k and a 3k – which support the charities, Maggie’s and Addenbrooke’s Charitable Trust (ACT).

First home in the 10k was Alex Rodger in a time of 38:40. Hannah Lord was the first woman home in 41:06.

Christie Marrian, one of the organisers, said: “I think this was probably our most successful event.

“In spite of the weather, we definitely felt that things went smoother than in previous years – and it was a record number of runners, in both the 10k and the 3k.”

Christie added: “We hope to exceed what we raised last year, which was a total of £3,000, but we haven’t done the accounting yet.”

Pictures from the day can be bought from Jo Anthony who is donating all proceeds to the two charities.
