The Cambridgeshire Steam Rally brought steam and other vehicle enthusiasts out in force last weekend (July 13-14).

Quy Park in Stow Cum Quy hosted the 10th annual Rally – the sixth to take place there.

Attractions included tractors, vintage and classic cars, commercial vehicles, steam traction, rides on trains, classic caravans and campers, stationary enginers, a craft tent, trade stalls and food.

For motorbike enthusiasts, the Bantam motorcycle club held their annual National Rally at the event for the first time.

Amber Parcell, rally secretary and treasurer, estimated that more than 3,000 people visited over the weekend.

She said: “The committee of five who run it did very well. We had the BSA Bantam motorcycle rally – a national club recognised the event and decided that they wanted to be a big part of it.

"We also had the newly-formed International Harvester tractor club.”

As ever the heavy horses proved popular with visitors.

“They love to see the heavy horses and we had a nice cross selection of them,” said Amber.
