In pictures: Cast of Grantchester seen filming in the Cambridgeshire village
Cast members of ITV’s Grantchester were seen out and about in the village this week as filming took place for the eighth series of the popular drama which is set in the 1950s.
Tom Brittney (Reverend Will Davenport), Robson Green (Geordie Keating), Kacey Ainsworth (Cathy Keating) and Tessa Peake-Jones (Mrs Chapman) were all spotted, along with extras and members of the crew, filming scenes, in discussion and posing for photographs.
Much of the filming appears to have been taking place in and around the local church in Grantchester, the Church of St Andrew and St Mary, where many memorable events have taken place since the programme first started in 2014.
For the eighth series, which was confirmed back in August, there will be new actors taking on guest roles: Top Boy’s Shaun Dingwall, Doc Martin’s Jeff Rawle and Gold Digger’s Jemima Rooper.
Ghosts star Charlotte Ritchie is set to return as Bonnie, while Al Weaver (Leonard Finch), Oliver Dimsdale (Daniel Marlowe) and Nick Brimble (Jack Chapman) will all reprise their regular roles, alongside those already mentioned.
