Dinosaurs are back at the Grand Arcade in Cambridge, as Jurassic Arcade returns.

After wowing visitors in 2023, six magnificent animatronic dinosaurs are stomping the grounds of the shopping centre this Easter Holiday.

Julie Kervadec, the Grand Arcade’s marketing manager, says that as well as the life-size dinosaurs, there are also six T-Rex sculptures created by local schools – part of a competition where people can vote for their favourite.

The winning school will receive a £300 voucher to put towards school equipment.

“There is a photo opportunity with a giant dinosaur egg,” said Julie, “and also a free trail map to go around the centre, enjoy offers in some shops, and just get more information about the trail.

“The description of each dinosaur has been written with the help of the Sedgwick Museum of Earth Sciences – we always like to add an educative element to what we do.”

Julie adds that there is a new attraction this year, ‘The Dinoshow’, a 15-minute story time with one baby dinosaur, followed by a meet-and-greet with two baby dinosaurs and two rangers, which had 400 attendees over the weekend.
