In pictures: The 14th Bourn to Run event
There were plenty of fun and games on offer – as well as the running – at the 14th Bourn to Run event.
Held for the first time since 2019, the 10k and 3k runs which raise funds for Bourn Primary Academy took place on Sunday, September 25.
Tara Watts, chair of the Bourn to Run committee, said: “We had about 400 runners taking part – about 100 children from Bourn Primary School ran. The weather was great and we had loads of different things on the recreation ground – from bouncy castles to a barbecue to face painting, pottery painting...”
Tara notes that as well as the school, a donation was also made to Bourn Sports Club. She said: “We had some very generous sponsorship this year from local businesses – in particular Bourn Quarter, as well as lots of other smaller companies.”
