Jonny & the Baptists coming to Cambridge this week
Multi-award nominated musical-activist-comedians Jonny & the Baptists - regularly featured on BBC Radio 4’s The Now Show - are currently on a UK tour.
Their Love Cambridge and Hate Bastards show - a concoction of politically charged, raucous acoustic mayhem - will be performed at The Junction (J2) this Friday (September 27). Jonny & the Baptists (Jonny Donahoe & Paddy Gervers) love everyone and want to make a world that no longer communicates through cruelty and unkindness.
But is that possible without giving up your politics and your principles? The musical comedy duo’s sixth show hopes to cross the divide and bring people together the only way they know how, with musical brilliance and thought-provoking lyrics. Their unique brand of silly, satirical songs and comedy-rock anthems will explore themes of tribalism, privilege, and knowing when to admit you’re wrong.
Jonny & the Baptists will be appearing at J2 at The Junction on Friday, September 27, at 8pm.
