Nile Rodgers & Chic return to Newmarket

Following last year's extremely well-received appearance, the iconic producer, songwriter, musician, composer, arranger and guitarist will be headlining the Summer Saturday Live on Saturday, June 8 at the July course.

Nile Rodgers is a multiple Grammy Award-winner and the co-founder of Chic. He was behind chart-topping classics like Le Freak and Good Times with the band, while also working his magic with the likes of David Bowie (Lets Dance, among others), Diana Ross (Upside Down, I’m Coming Out, etc.) and Madonna (Material Girl, Like A Virgin, etc.).

He has sold over 300 million albums and 50 million singles worldwide, and his collaborations with Daft Punk, Avicii, Sigala, Disclosure and Sam Smith reflect the vanguard of contemporary music.

Expect to hear some of the best-known pop anthems from the last four decades. With more than 200 production credits to his name, the scope of Nile Rodgers' peerless influence is undeniable.

Summer Saturday Live at Newmarket Racecourses is a day for the whole family, with Nile Rodgers & Chic taking to the stage in the afternoon.

There will be reduced-priced children’s tickets for children aged 5-15 available when accompanied by a responsible adult of 18 or over, with children aged 4 and under entitled to free admission.

Nile Rodgers & Chic join previously announced headliners of Newmarket Nights, Madness (Friday, June 21), Thriller Live (Friday, July 18), Rudimental (DJ Set, Friday, July 29) and Pete Tong & The Heritage Orchestra (Friday, August 2), with more announcements to come.

Tickets will be on sale at 8am on Thursday, January 31 via thejockeyclublive.co.uk, with a presale available to customers at 12pm on Tuesday, January 29.

Tickets are priced starting at £29 adult / £15 child (5-15 years) For 16years+ full price applies.
