Organisers of Cambridge's Arbury Carnival enjoy day out in the capital

The Arbury Carnival team spent a day at the Tate Modern in London, where they staged creative workshops for more than 600 visitors

The event, on Friday, April 13, saw Kettle’s Yard and the Arbury Carnival collaborate.

“We were so excited to celebrate Arbury Carnival at Tate Modern with Kettle’s Yard and seeing the start of costume-creating for the carnival, which takes place on Saturday, June 9,” said Alan Soer, chair of the Arbury Carnival Committee.

Karen Thomas, community officer at Kettle’s Yard, added: “Every year, Tate Exchange has a different theme and this year it was ‘production’.
