Enjoy a day out this Easter at Johnon’s Farm shop, the perfect family day out in Cambridgeshire. Visit the zoological gardens, meet the bears, or the site’s new Highland cows.

The farm shop has everything you need for your Easter Sunday meal. The owners have been farming using traditional methods for more than a century, and their passion is to provide local produce with the highest quality in flavour, variety and freshness and to do it in a sustainable way.

Johnson's of Old Hurst are one of the few farm shops which provides a wide variety of home-produced meats, which continues to grow year on year. Come and enjoy the farm shop and butchery, tearoom and steakhouse - and don't forget to visit the crocodiles.

The site is open Tuesday to Sunday. Visit johnsonsofoldhurst.co.uk for more details.

Brave the Jurassic Arcade at the Grand Arcade, St Andrew’s Street, Cambridge

Animatronic dinosaurs at the Grand Arcade
Animatronic dinosaurs at the Grand Arcade

Journey back in time as Grand Arcade turns positively prehistoric this Easter with the arrival of a herd of full-size animatronic dinosaurs.

Roaring through the centre from Saturday, April 1, to Sunday, April 16, will be the fearsome tyrannosaurus rex and the spectacular stegosaurus, a terrifying velociraptor, pteranodon, carnotaurus and coelophysis.

The dinosaurs – which last invaded Grand Arcade in 2021 – are back by popular demand for an Easter exhibition. Dino-fans can pick up a free Jurassic Trail map to guide them through 250 million years of natural history, encountering super-sized species on all floors of the shopping centre.

They are promised a feast of fascinating dino facts accompanying each exhibit displayed on panels, created with the help of the Sedgwick Museum. In the spirit of Easter, there will also be an egg hunt, though not of the chocolate variety. Instead, adventure-lovers are invited to scour the Jurassic Trail for a selection of huge hatching dinosaur eggs.
