It’s a wrap - BeeBee seals deal with Lakeland

BeeBee has collaborated with Lakeland to launch the Best of British wildlife range of plastic-free wraps for the retailer.

Founder Kath Austin said Cambridge-based BeeBee worked with Karen Jinks to design the prints, one featuring a woodland design, the other featuring riverside wildlife, after Lakeland approached her some months ago. BeeBee Wraps are squares of organic cotton infused with a formula of beeswax, resin and organic jojoba oil.

Kath said: “I always knew I wanted to work with some of the bigger brands. By working with those people, you can leverage the audience they sell into and it inevitably brings about behavioural change around the use of single-use plastic.

“Please have a look on the Lakeland website and you’ll see we are listed there. It’s a real milestone for BeeBee - thanks to everyone involved in the project, especially Team BeeBee who relentlessly worked for the past few months to get them out.”

Reflecting on the journey since she set up BeeBee three years ago, Kath said: “I knew I wanted to change the world. At that point, things like this were a pipedream.”
