Revamped Old Crown in Girton celebrates reopening with launch party
Having opened its doors last month, the 19th century, family-friendly pub – located on the High Street – recently welcomed invited guests in for a private celebration.
The new Old Crown boasts beautiful new interiors, a shiny new copper-topped bar, exposed fireplaces, plush fabrics and an innovative menu of fresh and locally sourced dishes delivered by the pub’s passionate staff.
Following the event, which took place on the evening of Wednesday, March 14, general manager Paul Richardson told the Cambridge Independent: “It was a really good night. We had a local musician, Rob Godfrey, playing, we gave Champagne and canapés to everyone on arrival, some soft drinks as well...
“Our head chef did a little canapé demo and explained the provenance of all the food and how he puts the dishes together.
“We did some cocktail shaking as well, for guests to get involved in so they could learn and understand the cocktails. About 40 people turned out so it was a good event for us.”
