Your guide to New Year’s Eve 2019 events in and around Cambridge
With Christmas finished for another year, it’s time to start thinking about where to see out the end of the decade in style. We’ve gathered together details of events happening in and around Cambridge for you to enjoy.
Revolution Cambridge
Downing Street, Cambridge, 9pm-4am. Tickets: £20-£50. Over-18s only
Join the party this New Year’s Eve from 9pm to usher in the ‘20s’ in true Revolution style.
All five floors of the venue will play host to the biggest New Year’s Eve party in Cambridge. Two DJs will be counting down till the start of the new year, with photographers capturing the most exciting moments.
There will be complimentary bubbly and canapes between 9pm and 10.30pm on the ground floor to help get the evening off with a bang.
Clubroom VIP booths and tables are available for those wanting to experience the VIP life. The ground floor, clubroom, the stoli bar, the rooftop bar, and the retro room will all be filled with music ranging from chart hits and R&B to old school party anthems and disco classics.

Tiki Blinders
Lola Lo, Cambridge, 9pm-5am. Tickets: £10-£25
Step back in time to the cobbled backstreets of the 1920s with Lola Lo’s Tiki Blinders themed New Year’s Eve party.
The club will be transformed into the Shelbys’ favourite drinking hole, The Garrison, but with a Tiki twist – complete with flapper girls, bootleg cocktails, two club rooms and an open-air rooftop terrace.
A complimentary glass of prosecco awaits the first 100 guests to arrive on the night – first come, first served.
1920s attire is wholeheartedly encouraged so don a waistcoat and flat cap or go full glamorous in a flapper dress and pearls. Over-18s only – photo ID required.
The Milton Arms
Milton Road, Cambridge, 12pm-12am. Two courses £14.99, three courses £17.99. Children: £4.99 or £5.99.
Head to the Milton Arms pub to enjoy a New Year’s Eve menu.
Choose from a two or three-course menu. A £5 deposit for adults and £3 for children is required in order to secure your booking.
NYE ‘Dinner with Sinatra’
The Bridge, Waterbeach, 7pm. Tickets: £39.99 (includes four-course dinner)
Enjoy a quieter New Year’s Eve in an atmosphere of style and elegance being serenaded with some Sinatra classics.
Singer Gary Grace will be crooning his way through some Ol’ Blue Eyes favourites in this cosy venue, while diners enjoy a fabulous four-course dinner.
Gary is a professional swing vocalist, performing songs associated with great swing singers like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tony Bennett, Matt Monro and Michael Bublé.

The Blue Moon

Following the success of last year’s event, the pub has decided to hold a karaoke event again.
This will be ticketed with all the proceeds going to The Kite Trust, Jimmy’s and PAWS Cyprus.
Included in the ticket price is a free glass (or two) of bubbly and access to the buffet. Invite your friends for a good old sing-along.
Black-tie Gala Dinner
Hallmark Hotel Cambridge, 7pm-1am. Tickets: £79 per person
Celebrate the end of 2019 and see in 2020 in style with fabulous food, entertainment, friends, and a sparkling toast to welcome in the new year.
After a welcome drink, a five-course gala dinner will be served, which will then be followed by a resident DJ. There will be fireworks at midnight and bacon sandwiches served at 12.30am. Over-18s only.
The hotel is located in Bar Hill, five miles north-east of Cambridge.
